Stella
Stella first came to the healing arts through the plant world. In 2006 she started her study of herbal medicine in the classroom setting after years of deep fascination and eagerly seeking information about plants ability to heal and nourish the mind, body and Spirit. She has served family, friends and community since.
With a desire to learn more about the human body and expand modalities Stella studied to become a massage therapist. Graduating in 2021 from CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu School and Clinic with a diploma in therapeutic massage including trigger point therapy, craniosacral, and Swedish massage.
She is a recent transplant to the Fargo Moorhead area from South Minneapolis, her home for over 20 years, where she ran a successful private massage practice and provided a diverse clientele with personalized treatment plans. She has studied advanced cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion therapies with Kimberly S. Hart. Her studies in herbal medicine began at Minneapolis Community and Technical College’s Western Clinical Herbalism program (the first and only undergraduate certificate award in herbal studies available in the US). She has had many herbal teachers over the years including intensive classes with herbalist/midwife Erin Piorier RH (AHG) and herbalist Lise Wolff’s RH (AHG) MSc year long Three Seasons training course.
Stella has a background in art and biology, is a musician and a mother. She is an avid gardener, adores all animals, she likes to spend time walking along the many lakes, rivers and creeks. She grew up and has lived almost the entirety of her life on various places along the Great Mississippi River. She is looking forward to exploring the Red River and getting to know new plant and animal friends of this region.
